Our take: Cha Mulan is carving out a genuine niche in Singapore's crowded bubble tea market by leaning into slow-brewed, wellness-forward teas — think peach gum, white fungus, Korean fruit vinegar collagen, and oolong bases that actually taste like tea rather than sugar syrup.
The Radiant Mulan with peach gum and white fungus is the drink worth ordering: nourishing, layered, and not cloying, with customisable sugar and ice levels that make it more than a novelty.
At around $6.90 for a large Collagen Mulan, the price is reasonable — but go in with measured expectations on the toppings.
At least one outlet has drawn fair criticism for skimping on peach gum portions relative to what the format implies.
Service is consistently one of Cha Mulan's stronger suits — free sampling is standard at most locations, staff tend to be knowledgeable, and the tasting ritual genuinely helps newcomers navigate the menu.
The weak points are operational: single-staff shifts during dinner and lunch peaks mean 20-minute waits are realistic, and execution consistency varies by outlet (Jewel Changi draws the most praise).
Worth trying for health-conscious tea drinkers who want something beyond standard milk tea — but seek out a well-staffed outlet and skip the peak-hour crunch.

What customers say
Cha Mulan draws consistently strong praise for its knowledgeable, friendly staff — with individual team members like Joanna, Alan, Xile, and Esther singled out by name — and for offering free tasting samples that help customers navigate the menu.
The Radiant Mulan (peach gum and white fungus oolong), Collagen Mulan series, and Korean fruit vinegar drinks are recurring favourites, appreciated for their health-forward ingredients and refreshing, not-overly-sweet profiles.
On the negative side, customers flag inconsistent drink quality (the osmanthus oolong noted as over-brewed and bitter, one collagen drink described as weak and oddly flavoured, and insufficient peach gum topping relative to price), isolated incidents of unfriendly staff, understaffing during peak lunch and dinner hours causing long waits, and outlet-to-outlet consistency gaps — with Jewel Changi cited as a benchmark.
Overall sentiment is strongly positive, driven by standout service and distinctive tea-based offerings.

“The staff at Chinatown complex is so much more friendly and helpful compared to jewel outlet. Jewel outlet staff seems unfriendly and unapproachable.”

Visited Cha Mulan and was impressed by how much effort goes into their beverages. The drinks are made from recipes that require hours of brewing and preparation, which makes every cup feel thoughtful and worthwhile. Highly recommend the Radiant Mulan, especially with the peach gum and white fungus combination. It feels both refreshing and nourishing at the same time, without being overly sweet. What stood out most was the variety of oolong flavours available, along with the flexibility to customise sugar and ice levels according to personal preference. The quality, ingredients, and preparation easily justify the price. Definitely worth trying if you enjoy healthier tea-based beverages with depth of flavour.

Was there last Sat night, there’s testers available and we ordered after tasting it. Feels like a healthier version of bbt! Wanted to mention the female staff who is very knowledgeable about the store, sharing with us the history of the brand and its franchises. She’s also very knowledgeable about the drinks. Can tell that she puts in alot of effort memorising these stuffs, I thought she was the owner of the brand 🤣 I don’t work in F&B or Id have poach this service staff. What a gem! Pls treat her well 🙃

Just tried the Cleanse Mulan from Cha Mulan and it was surprisingly refreshing! Light, smooth and not overly sweet — perfect if you want something clean and soothing. The drink had a very calming taste and felt really hydrating, especially on a warm day. I also liked the aesthetic packaging and overall vibe of the brand. Would definitely come back to try more drinks!
